Summary: Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of medical devices in support of sterilization and distribution operations. This position requires schedule flexibility, including weekends, overtime and occasional overnight or early morning routes. During non-driving periods will assist with order fulfillment, and general warehouse duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Transportation Duties:
  • Operate 30-foot boxed truck in a safe and professional manner in compliance with DOT and CDL requirements.
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries of non-sterile and sterilized medical devices between broker, sterilizer and the distribution center.
  • Assist with safe, secure loading and unloading of non-sterile and sterilized medical devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, delivery times, and load conditions.
  • Communicate delays, issues, or concerns with management promptly.
  • Ensure the operation and safety of the boxed truck by daily routine checks (monitoring fluid levels, checking tire pressure, hose connections, etc.)
  • Ensure routine preventative maintenance on the boxed truck, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and filter replacements.
  • Assist with minor roadside repairs and general equipment upkeep (e.g., greasing fittings, changing bulbs, checking belts).
  • Must maintain a valid CDL and remain insurable under company and DOT requirements. Any suspension, revocation, or disqualification of CDL privileges may affect employment eligibility.
Warehouse Duties:
  • Unloading and loading trucks.
  • Pick, pack and label orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Build pallets for shipping internationally and domestically.
  • Stock products in an orderly manner in appropriate locations.
  • Conduct inventory Cycle Counts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
  • Must comply with all DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements, including marijuana (THC) testing, regardless of state marijuana laws.
  • Ability to comply with all federal and state DOT regulations.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are preferred but not required.              
  • Forklift and Pallet Jack experience preferred, but we’ll train.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable with sitting for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Ability to evaluate complex situations, think critically, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Close attention to detail, accuracy, basic math and organization skills
